This dried milk, once mixed, is the best dried milk I've ever had. It has a slight sweetness to it and doesn't have the unpleasant aftertaste other dried milks typically have. The milk is somewhat expensive but fresh milk goes bad fairly quickly and I'm not able to just jump in a car and go get more any time I need to. Dried milk allows me to make only what I need without letting any spoil and go to waste.I love the milk but HATE the storage bucket which is a nightmare. When initially opening the bucket, the pull tab strip broke off before it was pulled even a fourth of the way around the lid. I then had to use a combination of a box cutter, sharp scissors, and a pair of heavy-duty pliers to finish the job - pull the pull tab strip all the way around the lid, smooth off the 4 large locking lid tabs, and get the lid removed. Then, there's the pulling and the hassle every time you go to get more dried milk out of the bucket. After some trial and error, I've finally discovered that a 5.5" flat pry bar tool works great and saves my fingers. I tried a 5 gallon bucket and pail opener, but it really didn't work with the smaller 1 gallon Birch & Meadow storage pail. Apparently, they don't make them for 1 gallon buckets. If anyone is interested, I purchased this 4 piece pry bar set: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CYWZH24C?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details&th=1(and no, I'm not getting any compensation, just sharing what worked for me)I figured, if you're gonna pay $8 - $10 for one inidividual piece anyway, why not buy an entire set with different sizes for $18 (with $2 Amazon coupon)? It's a much better deal (price per piece), it'll solve my problem, and I'll have a variety of pry tool sizes to add to my ever-growing tool arsenal for future projects. You just never know when a particular tool will come in handy and be just what you need. I'll save you a lot of trial & error and frustration I had to go through. For anyone else that loves Birch & Meadow milk but hates dealing with the storage bucket, the flat pry tool is the ticket! You're welcome!
