it was edible. but, not good chocolate by any means. came fast and was shipped with an ice pack in an isolated bag. was food filler for a treasure hunt.I HIGHLY recommend this product, its the actual size of a 50 cent piece, VERY realistic!! I would pay them with these chocolate coins based on their caste and completion of the task.My students, aged 15-17 and mostly boys, worked so hard for these coins - little chocolate coins!!! I was absolutely surprised. They became very competitive over these and really loved them.I would definitely order these again - they were a much better value than I found in the party outlet stores, AND I was able to get the quantity I wanted.The chocolate itself was OK - nothing outstanding, but still a decent quality for the price.I didn't count how many were in the bag, but it seemed like there were about 90. They look just like quarters---we bought them for my son to give out when he was running for school treasurer. Parents thought we were giving out real quarters! I took a star off because the flavor wasn't to my liking (it was ok---but not hershey's). The kids didn't seem to mind though!I used these silver coins along with some gold ones to add to a treasure box for a scavenger hunt. I put the coins on top of a couple of presents and the grand kids had to search for the treasure box with about a dozen clues we hid around the house. We all shared the chocolate coins afterwards and it was really good!Have not tasted them yet but all mine look good. Never thought it would be so hard to order silver coins with all the terrible reviews for like every one on here. Maybe I got a good batch.
